Find your path into tech, AI & ML
Pick the job you actually want. We'll turn it into a clear, ordered list of free courses — from your first line of code to production-ready skills.
What do you want to become?
13 roles across software, AI, ML, and infrastructure. Select one to build your roadmap.
Your roadmap
How to actually use this roadmap
The same rules apply no matter which role you picked.
Follow the phase order
Foundations before Core, Core before Specialization. Each phase assumes you finished the one before it — skipping ahead just means backtracking later.
Run the code, don't just read
Every course ships with a live in-browser code runner and practice problems. Reading a module without running the code is the single biggest reason people quit halfway.
Build one project per phase
After each phase, build something small that uses what you just learned. By the end of a roadmap you should have 2–3 projects you can actually show an employer.
Fundamentals show up everywhere
Data Structures & Algorithms, Discrete Mathematics, and System Design keep reappearing in interviews regardless of which specialization you choose. Don't skip them.
"Good to Have" courses are for later
Once you're comfortable in the Core phase, the optional courses are what separate a junior profile from a senior one. Come back for them once you're job-hunting.
There's no clock running
Every course here is free today and free tomorrow. Go back, re-read a module, retry an exercise — there's no subscription pushing you to rush.
Common questions
Do I need a Computer Science degree to get these jobs?
No. A degree helps, but most of these roles are skill-based. Working through a roadmap end to end, building real projects, and being able to explain your work in an interview matters far more than a credential.
How long will a roadmap take to complete?
Most roadmaps on this page take 6 to 14 months of consistent, part-time study, depending on the role and your starting point. Each roadmap above shows a rough estimate — go at your own pace.
Do I have to follow the exact course order?
The phases are ordered by dependency — later courses assume you know the earlier ones. You can reorder within a phase, but follow the phase order (Foundations, then Core, then Specialization) for the smoothest path.
Are all the courses in this roadmap really free?
Yes. Every course linked from this roadmap is completely free on ABCL TECH — no paywalls, no subscriptions, no gated modules.
